Semi-Permanent Makeup; Eyebrows, Eyelids & Lips.

Semi-permanent makeup is the most precise and safest method on the market.

What is it about a perfectly defined eyebrow?⠀

Permanent makeup is no new trend. It’s been around for hundreds of years! In certain parts of the world, it was common practice for people to adorn the skin by injecting pigments for aesthetic or ceremonial purposes.

Those, however, were mostly primitive and imprecise methods.

The world of permanent makeup has come a long way. Today we keep on developing the exploration for stylish, effective, yet safe methods.

Semi-Permanent makeup uses rotary machines with fine needles providing more precision.

We use medical-grade pigments, no chemicals, only minerals, water, and glycerine.

The pigment is implanted into the third layer of the epidermis, which keeps swelling after treatment down to the minimum and provides positive results for the skin.

You can use Permanent makeup to enhance your eye’s contours, outline beautifully or fill your lips. EyebrowShape and fill to correct the natural shape.

The results are subtle, natural, yet perfectly polished in appearance.

What is Semi-Permanent or Permanent Makeup?

Semi-Permanent Makeup, also known as Permanent Makeup or Micropigmentation, is a well established and proven safe beauty procedure.

Micropigmentation uses medical-grade pigments inserted into the upper layers of the dermis, where they remain for up to three years.

We offer a choice of pigment colours for you to choose from our standard palette. Or your skilled artist can mix a bespoke colour and create a custom shade that guarantees the desired effect and a perfectly natural look.

At Facial Secrets, our Semi-Permanent Makeup uses only superior pigments. Safe, hypoallergenic, gamma-ray tested to provide the best long term colour power and stability.

Always an expressive look

If you can’t imagine your face without a line on the upper or lower lid, perhaps it is time to consider permanent makeup?

Why? One, you will save time daily plus have the perfect frame, impossible to achieve by yourself.

Most of all, your eyes will look beautiful in situations that are not conducive to wearing makeup, such as at the pool, on the beach, or in bed.

Adding pigments to the upper and lower eyelids enhances your eyes to become more expressive.

You may choose between a delicate line, which will make your eyelashes appear thicker.

Or a thicker, more decorative line if you’re used to wearing stronger eye makeup.

It is the perfect treatment for women wearing glasses, who find it difficult to create precise eye makeup by themselves.

Can I have Semi-Permanent eyebrows If I’ve Had Botox?

Absolutely! Although we do recommend having your permanent eyebrows before your Botox procedures into the brow area.

This recommendation is based on the fact that Botox may alter the placement of your natural eyebrows by its nature.

When we perform permanent eyebrow treatments, we work with your “natural” placement rather than an “altered” placement.

It is recommended you wait two weeks after your permanent eyebrow procedure before booking your Botox treatments in the eyebrow area.

Before the treatment

Three days before treatment, it is obligatory to take HEVIRAN pills twice a day.

This drug is an antiviral medication that protects you from herpes.

The drug should be administered after a consultation with your doctor. Active herpes makes it impossible for us to carry out permanent make-up.

So if you have this affliction, please only book your treatment for at least two weeks after fully recovering.

Before the treatment, you must inform your artist of any lip fillers or cosmetic procedures you have had or. If you are planning them, we will advise if it is better to have them after your permanent make-up.

It is important to moisturize and keep your lips smooth before the treatment.

Chapped and cracked lips have poorer pigment absorption.

If you wish to change your lip shape, e.g. make your lips larger or a lip liner effect, take special care of the skin around this lip area.

We highly recommend microdermabrasion, cavitation or soft peeling treatments because they prime your skin to be smoother and fully hydrated.

When the skin has been prepared in this way, it will absorb the pigments much better and make for an even more precise shape.

As a result, your lips will be more expressive, resulting in a  nicer, longer, stronger colour.

After a while, you may start using Shea Lip Balm LTL.

Semi-Permanent Eyebrows – A Shape You Have Been Dreaming Of.

A perfectly defined eyebrow with the use of permanent makeup can add much charm to your entire appearance. It isn’t easy to achieve such precision via tweezing, especially when attempting it yourself. You may know how easy it is to make an unsymmetrical mistake?

Permanent eyebrow shapes are beautifully designed for your face and unique appearance. Your permanent eyebrows will always look polished and well-shaped, and it will be much easier for you to groom any hairs growing outside of its scope.

The perfect eyebrow shape and arrangement is rare. Brows are often irregular. Constant plucking weakens the hair follicles over time, effectively becoming thinner and lighter.

Dyeing provides short-term effects, as brow hairs live up to four weeks. Moreover, the brow curve often has natural gaps where hairs may have partially stopped growing.

We adjust pigments, methods and techniques to correct each eyebrow shape individually to your needs to achieve your most natural yet polished appearance.

Please take a look at some of our before and after pictures over on our Instagram feed.

Before the treatment

Please do not pluck your eyebrows for up to one month before your treatment.

Abstaining allows your artist to adjust the shape of pigmentation perfectly to your natural eyebrow line and brow hair strokes.

You must also take care of the skin under and around your eyebrows. If the skin is dry, keep it hydrated.

Is your skin is calloused and dull-looking? If so, use a mask or ampoule to hydrate the area before your semi-permanent eyebrow treatment.

However, if your skin is oily, please cleanse thoroughly before your appointment.

To keep your skin healthy, clean, and hydrated, you can achieve beautiful results with one or two microdermabrasion treatments before your permanent makeup.

When the skin has been prepared like this, it makes the perfect base for your permanent makeup because your skin will absorb the pigments much better, allowing us to create an even more precise shape.

As a result, your brows will be more expressive, and the colour will last you longer.

After the treatment

After your treatment, your pigment colour can be quite intense, even with delicate make-up.

Don’t worry! The colour of your brows will fade by 50% from the initial colour within 4 to 7 days.

When you come back into the clinic for your obligatory top-up (included in the price), this is when we will top-up your pigment and make any alterations to the shape should you desire it.

Following your treatment, you must treat your eyebrows delicately. No contact with water, no soaking, rubbing or touching the pigmented skin.

Under no circumstances should the area be washed with soap or any other cosmetics than the ones recommended by your artist.

Please avoid using the sauna, solarium, SPA treatments, or go to the swimming pool.

Your eyebrows should be moisturized a few times per day, by applying a thin layer of vaseline to the pigmented areas will reinforce your skin’s protection.

Caution! Discolourations can occur when the above advice is not followed!

After healing

You should prevent the pigmented skin from drying out and avoid tanning. Avoid aggressive peels in the area of permanent make-up.
